Oil And Gold Leaf On Canvas

This original oil painting was painted on a foundation of gold leaf. The initial step involves coating the canvas with an oil-based glue, followed by the application of delicate metallic-gold sheets that envelop the entire surface.
Amanda employs her signature palette knife technique to layer a vibrant array of tropical hues over the golden backdrop, intentionally leaving portions of the base untouched to enhance depth resulting in a stunning plethora of light and color.
